We recommend using iBooks for Mac to read our ebooks. iBooks for Mac is automatically installed on all computers running Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks and above.
If you have an older Mac, we recommend the free application Azardi. You can download and install the latest version of Azardi from here.
After purchasing your ebook, you should have received an email from Books Without Borders containing a download link (labelled “view purchase online”). Follow the link and click (or tap) on the button labelled “Download”. Your ebook will then save itself to your computer or handheld device.
You may have to wait a minute or two for your ebook to download - the progress will be indicated by a spinning wheel next to your wifi indicator. When the download is finished, you will be presented with the following screen. Simply tap “Open in iBooks” to add the book to your library:
(Please note: some of our books are large, and older iPads may take a number of minutes to load them into iBooks. The iPad does not display a progress bar during this process, so please be patient!)
Your ebook file will save itself in your “downloads” folder. If you are using iBooks for Mac, then right click on the file and click “open with: iBooks”. If you are using Azardi, then right click and select “open with: Azardi” (please note: Azardi will not necessarily be the default program for opening .epub files). You could also simply drag and drop the .epub file on top of the Azardi or iBooks icon in your applications folder. Either way, the book should open and you can begin reading!
